Inversion Table for Spinal Decompression

If your low back pain is due to a herniated disc (aka. ruptured disc or bulging disc) compressing the spinal nerves, if you were to hang upside down, you can use gravity to gently but significantly decompresses the vertebrae, often allowing the herniated disc to move back into its proper place.  In doing so, spine is realigned properly, pressure is removed from the pinched nerves, reducing or eliminating the pain.  Decompression also dramatically increases the circulation in the disc, allowing waste products to be removed and extra nutrients and oxygen to flow in.  This expedites the healing process of the damaged disc without having to get surgery.  Hanging upside down for 10-20min a day will also allow the blood to go to your brain and make you more awake and calmer.  Investing in one of these inversion tables will enable you to get spinal adjustments everyday at your time convenience without having to see a chiropractor multiple times.  It gets delivered in pieces but with the manual it’s very easy to assemble into a complete inversion table.  I highly recommend this!  However, the inversion table will be contraindicated in patients who have high blood pressure, glaucoma, knee pain or ankle pain.  These patients will need to use the next option….

For tight and painful low back muscles, applying heat while lying down or sitting will bring relaxation and pain relief.  The heat dilates the blood vessels to the low back muscles supplying them with more oxygen and nutrients for faster healing and comfort.  This electric heating pad is heat degree adjustable and will operate up to 2 hours at a time to prevent the user from getting burned on their skin even while they fall asleep during the use of it.  I highly recommend using it at night while sleeping to feel more relaxed during sleep.  It feels darn good!

Superfeet Arch Support Shoe Insoles

When having low back pain, it is important to make sure you wear comfortable shoes in which you have great arch support.  If you walk around in uncomfortable shoes, this will cause discomfort in the feet and knees and result in aggravating the low back pain.  If your shoes don’t already have good arch support, you can purchase these Superfeet Arch Support Shoe Insoles and easily slip them in any of your shoes and make your shoes comfortable without having to buy another pair of new shoes.  Find the right size for your feet and you can use them for a long time in multiple pairs of shoes.  Walking will always feel pleasant with these shoe insoles.  This is my favorite orthotics because they last long and are inexpensive compared to most other orthotics.  Remember, keep walking even when you have low back pain for faster recovery.
