Low back pain is one of the most frequent complaints during a physician office visits, yet the mechanisms of causation for low back pain remain highly elusive. Any injuries to the anatomical components of the low back will activate the meridians traveling through them. Conversely, disturbed flow in any these meridians will bring about the pain symptoms, perceived by the patient as rising out of these anatomical structures in the low back area.

 

When people say that they are doing all the right stretching and core strengthening exercises but still have low back pain that comes and goes and does not get better, it implies that the cause of their low back pain is something deeper. There is an underlying problem in the internal organs such as the liver / gallbladder and kidney system.

According to Chinese Medicine principles, the liver / gallbladder system purifies the blood and governs the muscle, tendon and bone health.
